If you’re trying to decide between a Honda lease or buying a Honda car, we can help. Just like we can help you make the right choice between buying and leasing, we can also provide some advice about getting your automobile ready for fall.

There are some things you can do to get your car prepared for autumn on your own. One thing you should do is stow a fully stocked emergency kit in your vehicle. This is particularly important if you’re going to drive to a location that experiences cold weather in the fall. A spare blanket, non-perishable snacks and beverages, a flashlight, a jacket, a hat, and a pair of gloves are just a few of the things you should put in your emergency kit.

You should look over your tires as well. Inspect the tread on your tires and make sure there’s enough on each tire to keep you safe on the road. Look for odd wear patterns that may indicate your car’s out of alignment as well.

While those are a few of the things you can do yourself, you should make an appointment to bring your car into our Lodi, CA Honda service department so we can finish prepping your vehicle for you. We’ll perform a multi-point inspection, rotate your tires, change your oil, and test your battery. If we notice your brakes need work, we’ll take care of them for you, too.

If you’ve fallen behind with the routine maintenance your car needs, it’s even more important for you to bring your automobile into our Honda service department. The start of a new season is a great time to get caught up on the critical services your car needs so take fall’s arrival as your cue to have your vehicle serviced.
